The art of Kenpo that the Universal Kenpo Federation maintains and perpetuates is based upon the exercise of empirical wisdom and theoretical knowledge. The utilization of inductive and deductive reasoning cultivates a continuous evolution of the system and the individual. Kenpo is a multi-dimensional, multi-faceted system that travels with us in the journey of life.

Ethics are divided into three divisions in our organization as it is necessary to focus in on those areas that require special attention.

The UKF is dedicated to the preservation of individual identity. The maintenance of that identity is preserved by the recognition of independent sovereignty and worth. This recognition is contingent upon the perpetuation of honesty, dignity, integrity, humility and honor. In it's ethical responsibility to the Federation, the UKF becomes the impetus to form a collective of individuals all dedicated to the enrichment of lives using Kenpo as the agency to manifest that journey.

Federated schools operate on a platform dedicated to the creation of an individuals peace. That success is generated by establishing, in the students life, an opportunity to create an individual code of ethics. Schools belonging to the UKF manifest ideals by incorporating ancient laws of social dialogue that establish a unification that enriches and authenticates human existence. The obligation of the school is to become a benefactor to invest it's time and energy to the responsibility of creating worthy and ethical morality for it's members.

The ethical obligation of a Federated instructor is to understand and remain dedicated to the needs of each student. The student's determination to study Kenpo becomes the impetus upon which an instructor is to design an innovative course capable of delivering meaningful results. Coexistent with the above, it is an instructor's duty to set a prime example for one's community, seeking peace, and remaining strong and charitable. To an instructor, the love of humanity and the fruition of the art within the student works to foster the self-discipline necessary to persevere long hours as a mentor, while nevertheless remaining themselves a worthy acolyte within the Federation.

Ethics are indicative of strong morals. Morals are based upon integrity, dignity and honor, tempered with humility. The creation of a personal code of ethics should be based upon an endeavored intent to cultivate for oneself a discipline that protects one's peace. That reality should include clarity of one's self in relation to one's environment. A realistic endeavored intent makes manifest the ability to make a decision on life and death.
